Robert Nathaniel Bryar was born on December 31st 1979 in Chicago, Illinois.

He attended school at Eisenhower Junior High in Darien, Illinois where he played drums and symphonic in a jazz band.
After Junior High, he went on to go to Downers Grove South High School where he joined the marching band and was the section leader of their drumline.
Bob then went on to attend university in Gainesville, Florida.

Bob joined My Chemical Romance in 2004, replacing original drummer Matt Pelissier. Previously, he worked for The Used as a sound mixer.

Since joining the band, Bob has become a valuable member of My Chemical Romance and has been made their permanent drummer.
Frank Iero has said about him "Bob and Toro are the two hardest working people I've ever met, and if there is a God, I thank him everyday for bringing us Bob."

Bob uses C&C Drums and Sabian cymbals and is known to be a fan of Sabian's Paragon series. He is also known to react badly to being filmed without his permission.


Interesting Facts:

The video for 'Im Not Okay (I Promise)' was filmed with Bob playing drums before he became an official member of the band.

Bob did not record drums for the bands album Three Cheers For Sweet Revenge as he became their drummer after the album was done.

Bob is a massive fan of Mr Bean.
