Frank Anthony Iero was born on October 31st 1982 in Belleville, New Jersey.
Frank had been playing in various bands since he was 11 years old, in addition to his band Pencey Prep, he played in Hybrid, Sector 12, I Am A Graveyard and Give Up The Ghost.
Frank went to Rutgers University with a scholarship, but eventually dropped out to join My Chemical Romance, he was recruited to fill out the band's sound when his band, in which he was vocalist for, Pencey Prep, broke up.
Frank's father, grandfather and great uncle are major influences to his musical career. The first show Frank attended was Weston, The Fiendz and My Favourite Citizen at The Pipeline in Newark, New Jersey.
He suffered from Epstein-Barr virus and Bronchitis throughout his childhood, he also suffered from a case of mono and has had numerous lacerations to his head, hands and knees.
